The Voltaggio Brothers Launch Interactive Culinary Web Site With EQAL

"Top Chef" Finalists Partner With Social Entertainment Pioneers Behind "lonelygirl15" to Create and Manage VoltaggioBrothers.com

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - December 10, 2009) - Bravo's "Top Chef: Las Vegas" Winner and Runner-Up, Michael and Bryan Voltaggio, today announced the launch of VoltaggioBrothers.com, a culinary lifestyle Web site and social network which will host video, photo and informational content that will showcase the Brothers' knowledge and technique. The Voltaggio Brothers have partnered with EQAL, the social entertainment company behind the successful online communities "Get Cookin' with Paula Deen" and "The Kind Life with Alicia Silverstone," to create the Web site.

Michael and Bryan Voltaggio were both contestants in the highly competitive sixth season of the No. 1 food show on cable, Bravo's Emmy Award-winning series "Top Chef." The Voltaggios dominated the season with their innovative and highly technical cooking styles. Each brother won a number of challenges, causing their sibling rivalry to become one of the show's hot topics.

VoltaggioBrothers.com is an interactive Web site, which will showcase the Brothers' expertise in a variety of culinary topics such as technique, ingredients, and gadgets. Additionally, the Web site will serve as an online destination for people to form a community and discuss the latest culinary trends, restaurants, and other delicious discoveries. New content will be posted daily.

"We are excited to partner with EQAL in launching VoltaggioBrothers.com," said Bryan and Michael Voltaggio. "The technology used to power the Web site will enable us to get our ideas out to our community. With this tool we will be able to update in real-time a view into our culinary world together and as individuals. There is so much that we have not yet shared, now we finally have our platform."

EQAL will oversee the design and development of the Web site, providing the technology infrastructure to host site components on their Umbrella platform. Additionally, they will produce the video content appearing on the site as well as provide creative consulting for the Voltaggio Brothers to develop their blog and photo content. EQAL will also assist in the advertising sales, marketing and licensing of the site.

"The Voltaggio Brothers have a visceral, emotional approach to food," said Greg Goodfried, Co-Founder and President of EQAL. "This site will channel that passion into a complete destination for people who care about the ingredients they use, are interested in learning how food should be prepared, and which gadgets are must-haves for their kitchen."
