Thomas S. Caldwell, C.M. to Address Ivey Alumni Association

The Credit Market squeeze: Liquidity, Time & a Historical Perspective

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 16, 2007) - The Ivey Alumni Association of Toronto, sponsored by Cushman & Wakefield LePage, is proud to present Thomas S. Caldwell, C.M., Chairman of Caldwell Securities Ltd. At the Ivey Real Estate Luncheon on 25 October Mr. Caldwell will address the issue of the current credit market squeeze, its causes, possible effects and probable effects on real estate and other industries. Drawing on over 40 years in the public markets Caldwell is in a unique position to discern what is new and what has simply come round again.

Upon graduating from McGill University in 1965 Mr. Caldwell entered the financial marketplace as a trader at Royal Securities Corporation, one of Canada's leading fixed income firms at that time. In 1980 he founded Caldwell Securities Ltd and in 2000 became Chairman of Caldwell Financial Ltd., the parent of a group of companies providing brokerage, trading, investment management and insurance services.

"We are delighted to have Mr. Caldwell address our membership on the liquidity issue" said Miles McDonald, co-president of the Ivey Alumni Association of Toronto. "This has got to be top of mind for anyone responsible for corporate finance and company liquidity, in real estate and just about any other industry, and Mr. Caldwell's experience and sharp insights will be invaluable for projecting the probable future course of events."

The Toronto Chapter of the Ivey Alumni Association holds social and business events throughout the year for its 7,000 members.

The Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario (www.ivey.uwo.ca) offers full-time undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
