Three More NFL Veterans at the Alouettes' Training Camp : Dudley, Dawson and Schall Will Try to Earn a Spot on Offence

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - May 13, 2005) - Montreal Alouettes' Vice-President and General Manager Jim Popp is happy to announce the addition of three players with NFL experience to the roster for rookie camp, which begins on May 26 in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Javarus Dudley (6', 195 lbs) is a 23-year-old receiver. In 2004, he attended the NFL Green Bay Packers mini-camp. In college, Dudley broke all Fordham Rams receivers' records. In his four-year career from 2000 to 2003, he caught 295 passes for gains of 4,197 yards and 37 touchdowns. He also returned 111 kickoffs on 2 663 yards. Dudley had his best year in 2003 when he caught 101 passes for 1,439 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Jajuan Dawson (6'1", 197 lbs.) is a wide receiver with several years of NFL experience. Coming out of Tulane University in 1999, he was a third-round draft choice of the Cleveland Browns in the 2000 draft. He played 16 games for the Browns from 2000 to 2001 gaining 378 yards and scoring a pair of touchdowns. In 2002, he caught 21 passes for 286 yards in 14 games with the Tennessee Titans. In 2003 and 2004, he attended the Indianapolis Colts' and New York Giants' training camps, respectively. He is 27.

Jon Schall (6'4", 300 lbs.) is a tackle who played every position on the offensive line at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2004, he attended training camp with the NFL Cincinnati Bengals. He is 24.
