Thunderbird Provides Gordon Creek Drilling Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 19, 2007) - Thunderbird Energy Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TBD) (the "Company") today announced that it has completed drilling and logging the GCS 2-29-14-8 well at the Gordon Creek natural gas prospect, Utah. Geological data indicates that the well intersected the target Ferron Formation which is productive at Gordon Creek as well as the neighboring Drunkard's Wash gas field owned by Conoco Phillips. The Ferron is a cretaceous aged fluvial deltaic formation consisting of a sequence interbedded sands, shale, and coals.

The Open Hole Logs indicate approximately 26 feet of net sand pay in the GCS 2-29, including 16 feet of pay in the primary target, and 10 feet of pay in the secondary target. The sands in these two targets are well developed and display similar porosity and resistivity to the offsetting producing wells. The logs also indicate that there is a potential tertiary target in the well - which could be characterized as unconventional shale gas. Overall, these results are consistent with and comparable to other commercial wells at Gordon Creek.

Production casing is currently being set and completion operations will commence within the next 2 weeks. Once the drilling rig has been released from the GCS 2-29 location it will commence drilling the neighboring GCS 1- 30-14-8 location.

Drilling operations at the 3-20-14-8 well are ongoing, although the well is somewhat behind schedule do to start up and early drilling difficulties. Surface casing has now been set at 2000 feet and the well is expected to reach TD at approximately 3800 feet later this week.

Thunderbird anticipates providing further updates as drilling progresses over the next 4 to 6 weeks.
