TicketLiquidator's Ticket of the Week: Final Four Tickets

VERNON, CT--(Marketwire - April 2, 2010) -  TicketLiquidator, the leading provider of the world's most extensive online ticket inventory of hard-to-find, low-priced tickets, announces that NCAA basketball tickets to the Final Four and the NCAA Championship Games are available at TicketLiquidator. Annual tournaments are what drive sports fans to games, so it's no surprise that Final Four tickets are some of the most sought-after sports tickets of the year. The 2010 NCAA Tournament has seen an outstanding number of upsets, so these Final Four games will most likely feature plenty of excitement.

Sixty-four teams that are considered the best college basketball teams in the country start off the NCAA Tournament; the Final Four teams represent the winners of each regional bracket. Duke, the only number one seed in the Final Four, dominated the Southern Region. As a long-time NCAA basketball powerhouse, Duke (tickets) generates one of the nation's strongest fan-bases. Duke's Final Four opponent, number two seed West Virginia (tickets), earned their place in the Final Four by upsetting number one seeded Kentucky in the Elite Eight Round. For the second year in a row, Michigan State University (tickets) locked down a Final Four spot after eliminating Tennessee and will move on to compete against West Region's number five seed Butler (tickets).

"Sales this year have been up for NCAA Tournament tickets, and the Final Four round is when fans are on the hunt for those hard-to-find tickets the most," stated Alexandra Owens, Media Relations, TicketLiquidator. "Unlike the NBA playoffs (tickets), where elimination is based on a five or seven-game series, Final Four games feature an intense win-or-go-home aspect that drives fans wild. These Final Four games determine who will compete in the ultimate season finale -- the NCAA Basketball Championship."

Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN is hosting the 2010 Final Four and NCAA Championship Game. With just two years in operation, Lucas Oil Stadium is a state-of-the-art sports venue well known for selling NFL tickets; it has been announced Lucas Oil Stadium will be hosting Super Bowl XLVI in 2012. Both Final Four games take place on Saturday, April 3. Butler vs. Michigan State starts at 6:07 p.m. and West Virginia vs. Duke tips off at 8:47 pm. The NCAA Championship Game will produce the two Final Four game winners on Monday, April 5 at 8:00 p.m.
