Featuring the breakthrough TILE64™ processor, the 8-lane PCI Express short cards deliver the world's highest density compute in a compact and power-efficient package. The production-ready TILExpress cards minimize customer design cycles and significantly reduce development expense.

Offered with dual 10 gigabits-per-second Ethernet ports, these cards enable deep packet processing with straightforward C-programmability in networking applications. In high definition multimedia products, the TILExpress-20G cards replace 10 or more DSPs to encode multiple streams of HD video and audio content.

The TILExpress-20G cards are available in two configurations. As an intelligent I/O services card, the immense data-plane processing of the TILE64 processor is combined with 20Gbps of high-speed system I/O, saving PCIe slots and reducing system power and real-estate. The coprocessor card model can offload significant compute tasks from a system host processor, enabling higher throughputs and creating headroom for additional features.

Accelerating Networking Appliances

In networking applications, the TILExpress-20G card accelerates security and other deep-packet inspection functions such as intrusion prevention (IPS) or virus and spam filtering at data rates of over 10Gbps. With line-rate packet parsing and inspection, the TILExpress-20G card is also an ideal fit for network monitoring and network forensics applications. The card's two 10Gbps Ethernet ports can be used to provide "bump in the wire" processing or as a PCIe-based network interface inside an embedded appliance.

The TILExpress-20G cards are an ideal solution for a variety of multimedia applications, including:

TILExpress-20G Features

The TILExpress-20G card features the TILE64 processor running at either 700MHz or 866MHz and provides the following features:

--  4 SODIMM memory sockets supporting from 1 to 16 GBytes of DDR2 memory
--  Up to 512Mbytes integrated Flash memory (optional)
--  Two full-duplex 10Gbps CX4 connections on the rear panel (I/O card
--  Mezzanine expansion connector to enable additional interface options
    such as SFP+ 10GbE connections or multiple 1Gbps Ethernet I/O.
