Timing Is Everything! Infocast's Cellulosic Biofuels Summit Coincides With the Dawn of a New Era in American Renewable Fuels
Leading Companies in the Cellulosic Biofuels Arena to Present New Proof of the Potential for Commercial Scale Production
LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 23, 2009) - Infocast's Cellulosic Biofuels Summit will
return to Washington, DC, November 16-19, for its 4th annual edition -- and
the timing couldn't be better! An October 15th article in the New York
Times confirmed that the promise of cellulosic biofuels is firing on all
cylinders as a growing number of companies are making the leap from
start-ups to small-scale production, with the realization of
commercial-scale production increasingly within feasible reach.
"Across the country, start-up companies and major corporations are trying
to produce ethanol without relying on food crops the way corn-based ethanol
does. The results of all this effort are starting to show. Pilot
facilities are going up, companies are testing their product lines and,
increasingly, it is possible to visit real plants and see production
methods that appear to be working," observes reporter, Matthew L. Wald in
the New York Times.
This year's four-day Summit will take place November 16-19, 2009 at the
Almas Temple including over a dozen solo presentations by leading companies
in the cellulosic biofuels arena as led by Keynote Presenter, Dr. Kristina
M. Johnson, the Under Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy.
This Summit's first day will be devoted to a Finance & Investment Forum on
Monday, November 16. The Summit follows on November 17 & 18 and will
feature 70+ speakers from players representing the entire biofuels value
chain with over a dozen status reports by leading developers such as Iogen,
Coskata, Inc., DuPont Danisco, Verenium, Range Fuels, BlueFire Ethanol and
Mendel Biotechnology as well as special presentations from BP Biofuels and
the Environmental Protection Agency. The Summit will conclude on November
19 with the Feedstock Supply Chain Forum.
