Tintina Files Application with Yukon Government to Undertake Advanced Underground Exploration at its Red Mountain Molybdenum Project, Yukon

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 11, 2005) - Mr. Juan Rassmuss, President and CEO of Tintina Mines Limited (the "Company" or "Tintina") (TSX VENTURE:TTS) is pleased to announce that the Company has filed a License/Permit Application with the Yukon Government to undertake an advanced underground exploration program on its Red Mountain Molybdenum Project, Yukon.

The Red Mountain property is located approximately 80km northeast of Whitehorse and is wholly-owned by Tintina. Molybdenum was discovered at Red Mountain in the 1960's. Amoco Canada completed 21,000 meters of diamond drilling during the late 1960's and 1970's, the results of which provided management with sufficient information to pursue an underground exploration program which will consist of driving a decline, underground drifting, drilling, test mining and bulk sampling.

Tintina plans to start the underground exploration program in Q-2, 2006, subject to receiving the required government approvals.
