Mr. Weymark has extensive experience at both the Board and Senior Executive levels dealing with strategic planning, corporate governance, acquisitions, marketing and operations.

Until 2007, Mr. Weymark was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Vancouver Wharves / BCR Marine, a Canadian corporation in the transportation industry that employed more than 1,200 people. In that role, he grew the business from a single deep sea bulk terminal to the largest provider of terminaling and stevedoring services on the west coast of Canada.

Prior to this, Mr. Weymark was the Vice President and General Manager of the largest open-pit lead-zinc mine in the world, an operation that employed over 1,000 people.

Mr. Weymark is a Professional Engineer and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the American Institute of Mining Engineers and the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Mr. Weymark has a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering from the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Weymark is very active in the community as he is a Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade, served as the Chair of the Economic Development Committee from 2003 to 2007 and is currently Chair of the Audit Committee. He is a Director of the Vancouver General Hospital and UBC Hospital Foundation Board and is a former co-Chair of the United Way of the Lower Mainland Campaign Cabinet. Mr. Weymark is also an Industry Advisory Committee member for the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining at the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Weymark is currently President of Weymark Engineering Ltd. a private consulting firm and is a Director and Chair of the Governance Committee for North American Palladium, a publicly traded company.

Mr. R. Stuart (Tookie) Angus, Tirex Chairman, states, "We are delighted to have attracted a person of Mr. Weymark's caliber to the Board of Directors. Tirex is a serious company with a very large VMS District and an immense amount of exploration activity planned for 2008. As we advance the company towards our corporate goals, Mr. Weymark will be a significant asset to the Board due to his long track record of implementing effective strategic planning, operational and governance leadership. Mr. Weymark has had a distinguished career as a well-known, top-level business executive which includes a great deal of successful experience in the mining industry."

Tirex has granted 225,000 incentive stock options at the exercise price of $2.75 per share to Mr. Weymark, now a Director of the company.

Tirex's focus is the exploration and development of the large 344 square kilometer Mirdita Property in Albania. The property is readily accessible by paved and gravel roads and is located 70 km north of the capital city of Tirana. The property covers the core of the historically productive Mirdita VMS base metal district. It represents an opportunity to explore copper, zinc, gold and silver zones that were previously partially mined or evaluated at lower metal prices and provides an opportunity to apply modern exploration techniques toward the discovery of new VMS deposits or extensions of known zones. The Mirdita exploration project is managed by an experienced team of five Canadian geologists and several senior Albanian geologists, geophysicists and surveyors.

Further details on the company and the Mirdita project can be found on the Tirex website at www.tirexresources.com.
