LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - April 21, 2010) -  The John Lennon Songwriting Contest (JLSC) is presenting a rare opportunity for musical artists and songwriters to win a chance to write and record a song with Grammy winning producer Toby Gad, it was announced today by Brian Rothschild, Executive Director of the JLSC.

The recipient of a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Album, Beyonce's "I Am...Sasha Fierce," Toby also produced and co-wrote the album's #1 hit single, "If I Were a Boy." In addition, Toby co-wrote Fergie's Grammy nominated #1 smash "Big Girls Don't Cry," and The Veronicas' platinum hit "Untouched," to name a few. With over a dozen Billboard hit records and over one hundred record releases worldwide, Toby has worked with top artists including Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus, Natasha Bedingfield, Robin Thicke, Kris Allen, Jordin Sparks, Demi Lovato, Sean Kingston, Keke Palmer, Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee, Enrique Iglesias, Jaci Velasquez, Susan Justice and Donna Summer.

This special JLSC opportunity gives the winning artist/songwriter an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles to write a song with mega hit songwriter/ producer Toby Gad. The winner will also receive an Epiphone Guitar and a Blackheart Amp.

To enter, artists/songwriters must submit an original song, photos and/or video between March 29 and May 1, 2010, at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest website, All entrants will also receive a free entry in the annual John Lennon Songwriting Contest. The winner will be announced on the JLSC website June 1.

The Contest is open to amateur and professional songwriters who submit entries in any one of 12 categories.
