Tom Lewis Appointed Vice-President, Exploration and Peter Theyer Appointed to Advisory Panel of Wildcat Exploration Ltd.

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - Oct. 6, 2009) - Wildcat Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:WEL) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Thomas D. Lewis as Vice-President, Exploration.

Tom has extensive experience in exploration for gold and base metals across Canada with small and large companies. His career spans over 30 years to date, including Canadian Exploration Manager and Safety Coordinator with Anglo American plc, Chief Exploration Geologist with Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting., Project Manager on the Musselwhite Project with Placer Dome Inc., and most recently Regional Operations Manager with CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. Tom is a graduate of Queen's University where he received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology (Geological Engineering).

As VP, Exploration, Tom will direct Wildcat's exploration programs and its evaluation of growth opportunities, reporting to the President and CEO. He is expected to assume his position in November, 2009.

Wildcat is also pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Theyer to its Technical Advisory Panel. In Peter's distinguished career he has focused primarily on exploration in central Canada with Wildcat and with the Manitoba Geological Survey, before which he worked with Falconbridge Limited in North and Central America. Peter joins a group of highly experienced experts on Wildcat's Advisory Panel and will work closely with Tom in advancing Wildcat's property portfolio.
