Tonbridge Power Inc. Announces Appointment of Project Controller and Grants Incentive Options to Employees of MATL

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 11, 2006) - Tonbridge Power Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TBZ) ("Tonbridge"), sole shareholder of the Montana Alberta Tie Ltd. ("MATL") project to interconnect the electricity markets of Alberta and the US Pacific Northwest through a 300 MW transmission line to be operational in 2007, announced today the granting of 185,000 options to employees of MATL.

In addition, the company is pleased to announce that Michael Park has agreed to join Tonbridge as a Project Controller, based in Calgary. Michael is a Certified Management Accountant with strong accounting, reporting, team building and controllership experience. Working closely with the Project Manager and the development team on the MATL project, Michael will play a key role as the capital expenditure phase of the project nears.

On May 5, 2006, the board of directors of Tonbridge approved the grant of 150,000 options to the new Project Controller, and 35,000 options to a Jo-Anne Happe (MATL Office Manager), under the employee option program on May 5, 2006. The strike price of the options being issued is $0.44 based on the closing price of Tonbridge's shares on May 4, 2006.

Following the closing of the acquisition of the remaining 35 % of MATL, 200,000 options have been issued to MATL Director Reynold Roeder on May 1, 2006. The intent to issue the options to Mr. Roeder was previously announced on March 20, 2006 and as a consequence the strike price is $0.42 based on the closing price of TBZ shares on March 19, 2006.
