Top National Sales Manager Joins Winning Brands

Patricia Dianne Miles Brings 30 Years' Corporate Experience to National Sales Manager Role

BARRIE, ON--(Marketwire - October 29, 2007) - Winning Brands Corporation (PINKSHEETS: WNBD) ( announces the appointment of Patricia Dianne Miles to the position of National Sales Manager. The appointment is accompanied by the move of former National Sales Manager Lorne Kelly to the role of Senior VP, Winning Brands Group. Ms. Miles' joining Winning Brands reflects preparations by the company of the operational infrastructure associated with growing sales volume at the Winning Colours® Multi-Cleaner division.

Since Winning Brands shares began trading in April 2006 the firm has been in a product market testing phase it calls "Initial Operations." The next phase of its growth, "Implementation Phase," is targeted to occur in 2008. The company identifies six phases of its business plan and sets them out in the Investor FAQ section at, including financial benchmarks that define these phases.

Patricia Miles brings 30 years of experience in the management of sales departments that offer large SKU assortments (Stock-Keeping Units). Those organizations exhibited strong growth during her tenure. Del Laboratories (Canada) Inc, manufacturer of the world's leading brand of nail care, Sally Hansen®, experienced growth in sales from $3 Million annually to over $50 Million in the division for which Ms. Miles was responsible during her service there. She also held progressively responsible positions at Canada's leading drug store chain Shoppers Drug Mart, where she functioned both in purchasing for Shoppers Drug Mart and sales management of specified products. Ms. Miles has conducted extensive business in the United States and is a North American business executive. The pattern established during her business career has been to develop and maintain mutually profitable relationships with retail chain buyers and deliver customer service to a standard of excellence that is required in today's complex "systems environment." Her responsibilities have included the management of top level accounts, such as Del's Wal-Mart account amongst others. In these management roles Ms. Miles has gained a reputation for attention to operational detail and retaining a positive spirit amongst her contributing staff group.

The decision by Winning Brands to expand its executive sales structure at this time represents its commitment to implement success in a practical manner that eludes many aspiring young firms. According to Winning Brands CEO Eric Lehner, a company needs to be realistic about the shortcomings common to failed junior companies and to avoid them. "A growing company needs people who know how large companies operate. It's almost too basic to mention except that it is remarkable how many aspiring companies are populated by founders and staff who do not have corporate experience comparable to their targeted scale of operation. Ms. Miles is comfortable with more than $50 Million in annual sales. That affects how she does things. Our Production Manager is comfortable with manufacturing over $50 Million worth of product. That affects how he does things. The list goes on. We are assembling a team of people at Winning Brands who know how to be successful, view success as a normal state of affairs and act accordingly," says Lehner.

Although Winning Brands is an environmental company and considers its market positioning perfectly suited to benefit from worldwide increase in demand for eco-friendly products, the company is not taking success for granted. Lehner states, "The profound opportunity in the environmental sector is that it's still comprised of relatively small companies. It is still possible to acquire a leadership role in key categories of the environment sector, unlike older more established industries where a few global giants dominate." Patricia Miles adds, "That's why I decided to join the Winning Brands Group -- the culture is right for success. I've been around long enough to tell the difference. Now I am going to make my contribution to help take it to the next level."
