Comedy Tour To Montreal

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 10, 2005) -

- Internationally acclaimed national comedy tour fuses humor and
religion to address post-9/11 misconceptions about Muslims

- "Through humour we are able to play with stereotypes and demonstrate
that laughter is universal." - Preacher Moss

"Allah Made Me Funny - The Official Muslim Comedy Tour", which has
multi-cultural audiences across North America buzzing about the show's
cutting-edge humour and insight into Muslim life post 9/11, will make a
highly anticipated stop in Montreal, announced Preacher Moss, the tour's
executive producer and headline act.

"We are very excited to bring the tour back to Canada. Our first few
shows were in Toronto and the audience's reception was amazing. Canada
recognizes the importance of cross-cultural communication in many
different forms. We look forward to providing entertainment for Muslims
and non-Muslims who have come together to enjoy the universal language
of laughter," said Moss.

"Allah Made Me Funny", which is currently traveling across the U.S on a
30-city tour, was created to address post 9/11 misconceptions about
Muslims. The comedians on the tour poke fun at Muslims and non-Muslims
alike and their comedic material plays with stereotypes to invite people
to think outside of their fixed cultural perceptions.

The tour features three of America's best known Muslim comedians
including Preacher Moss, the tour's producer and a former writer for
George Lopez, Saturday Night Live's Darrel Hammond and Damon Wayans.
Moss shares the comedy stage with nationally recognized stand-up
comedians Azhar Usman (nicknamed the Ayatollah of Comedy) who is an
attorney turned comedian and Azeem, a stand-up comic, activist and
founder of Azeem's Kids Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping
children who are in foster and juvenile care.

"Allah Made Me Funny - The Official Muslim Comedy Tour", which launched
in Washington, D.C. in May 2004, continues to receive international
media attention from high-profile print and broadcast outlets including
BBC, CBC, UPI, The Toronto Star, ABC Nightline News With Ted Coppell,
The Washington Post, The Chicago Sun-Times, The San Francisco Chronicle,
Los Angeles Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and Time Magazine.

"Muslims are not traditionally associated with humor; but through our
comedy, we are able to satirize our culture while generating a better
understanding of who we are as a community," said Usman. "The fact that
the tour has sparked international interest demonstrates that there is a
universal call for comedy that is not only entertaining but also
socially relevant."

The Muslim Comedy Tour will perform at the Vanier College Auditorium
located 821 Ste. Croix on January 14. The show will start at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and are available by contacting the Muslim Association
of West Island at 514-892-3691. For more information about the tour
