Top University to Share Best Practices for Dynamic Provisioning at Bradford Networks' Next Adaptive Network Security Webinar

NY-Based SUNY College at Oneonta Will Describe How It Automates Provisioning of Users and Devices to Secure and Manage Its Complex Network Environment

CONCORD, NH--(Marketwire - February 8, 2010) -  Bradford Networks, a proven leader in securing today's heterogeneous networks, announced today that the second webinar in its Adaptive Network Security™ (ANS) Webinar Series will be held on February 18 at 11am Eastern. Titled "Dynamic Provisioning for Network Users and Devices," the webinar will feature speaker Ms. Lesley Bidwell, IT Security Administrator at SUNY College at Oneonta.

A four-year liberal arts college in Oneonta, N.Y., SUNY College at Oneonta has approximately 5,800 students and has been ranked by US News in the top tier of "America's Best Colleges" for the past three years. Bidwell will share her insights into establishing a network security strategy for the SUNY College at Oneonta campus that has been able to handle the explosive increase in the numbers and types of devices and users on the network, yet still keep the network secure and accessible.

She attributes the ease of management of their dynamic network to Bradford. "With the influx of devices brought on campus by students and faculty, and the growing number of IP-enabled devices, we would have been hard-pressed to secure our network with our current IT staff and manual provisioning processes," Bidwell said. "Now, we're managing our network's security more effectively than ever before, due to the visibility and control we've realized with Bradford's Adaptive Network Security platform."

During the webinar, Bidwell will share the selection criteria for the university's network security solution and will reveal best practices used during the deployment of Bradford Network's Adaptive Network Security platform at SUNY College at Oneonta.

"SUNY College at Oneonta is a terrific proxy for how much impact Adaptive Network Security can have on network security quality and staff efficiency," said Gregg Bjork, CEO of Bradford Networks. "There are a lot of great lessons that they can share not just with other universities, but with any enterprise struggling to maintain good network security in the face of rapidly growing volumes of devices on the network."
