Toronto to "Jump Up" for Public Child Care

Coalition of child care supporters to host free concert this Sunday

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 6, 2009) - The City of Toronto will 'Jump Up' for public child care this Sunday, November 8, with a free concert at Riverdale Collegiate from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The free community concert called 'Jump Up For Public Child Care' is a project of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care (OCBCC), and the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL).

This free concert is family-friendly and non-partisan. It will feature children's musician and Juno Award nominee Chris McKhool, and local children's author Andrea Beck, author of the Elliott Moose series of books. There will be free colouring books and crayons for the kids.
