Toys"R"Us, Canada Continues Its 25th Birthday Celebration With One of the Largest Toy Giveaways Ever and Reveals Its Picks for the Top Toys of the 2009 Holiday Season

$125,000 Worth of Gift Cards to be Distributed In-Store, This Weekend Only

Toys"R"Us Chief Play Officer Daniel Wilson is upping the ante and giving away $125,000 worth of gift cards this weekend-making it one of the biggest initiatives of its kind in Canadian history. In addition to this monumental giveaway, Wilson is unveiling the top 25 toys Toys"R"Us has identified for the 2009 holiday season.

On October 31 and November 1, Toys"R"Us will give one mystery-value gift card to the first 100 families at each of the 69 Toys"R"Us locations across the country. The gift card denominations will range from $5 to $50 and can be redeemed on the spot.

Making its debut in time for this weekend's big $125,000 giveaway, CPO Wilson unveils the Toys"R"Us Top 25-the company's picks for the hottest toys of the holiday season. The list is designed to help parents, grandparents and relatives pick the ultimate gifts for children of any age.

After weeks of research and careful consideration, the Toys"R"Us Top 25 picks in alphabetical order are:
