Tranzeo Wireless and AMCC Join Forces to Deliver Low Cost WiMAX CPE Product Family Designed for Quick Installation and Ease-of-Use

TAIPEI, TAIWAN--(Marketwire - June 4, 2007) - Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX:TZT) announced today that it is collaborating with Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (NASDAQ:AMCC) to develop wireless customer premise equipment (CPE) based on the WiMAX 802.16 specification.

The new CPE product family manufactured by Tranzeo will enable end users to access their wireless broadband service provider at speeds up to 75 Mbps. Not only does WiMAX enable high bandwidth applications such as streaming media, but with a range of up to 30 miles, it offers service providers a viable last mile wireless solution. In addition, WiMAX provides customers with an economical alternative to DSL or cable modems.

The new Tranzeo WiMAX CPE devices will operate at 3.5 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequencies and include AMCC's Power Architecture™-based 405EP embedded processor. The wireless access product family provides a cost-effective solution to help meet the rapidly growing demand for last mile services that conform to the high-speed WiMAX standard.

In order to ensure that the WiMAX-based design is optimized for performance, minimum power consumption and full WiMAX interoperability, Tranzeo Wireless selected AMCC's 405EP 32-bit RISC processor. "Selecting the AMCC Power Architecture™ is a critical link to achieving the lowest possible cost for our CPE product family," said Jim Tocher, Tranzeo's CEO.

Tranzeo will be offering a family of indoor and outdoor WiMAX CPE products based on AMCC's 405EP embedded processor over the coming months through the company's international network of 18 distributors and 2,465 dealers.

Tranzeo and AMCC will be conducting demonstrations at Computex in Suite 2424 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, June 5 - 9, in Taipei, Taiwan.
