Trees for our Troops' Families 2009

VALCARTIER, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Dec. 3, 2009) - On December 5th, 2009, the Canadian Christmas Tree Growers Association will present 1500 natural Christmas trees to the families of Canadian troops on the base. Trees will also be delivered to Canadian Forces Bases across the country.

There will be a presentation at CFB Valcartier at 10AM Saturday December 5th, 2009.

The Honorable Josee Verner, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Status of Women, Minister of Official Languages and Minister responsible for La Francophonie, will be proud to take part in this grand family event. Please visit the CCTGA's new website

Myles MacPherson, the president of the CCTGA says: "Canadian Christmas tree growers from across the country appreciate the services and efforts of Canadian troops serving outside of Canada. We can't send trees to Afghanistan and other places, but we can give a Christmas tree to their families here in Canada. It's our way of saying thanks and we're thinking of you."

This is the third year that the CCTGA has given trees to the families of all Canadian troops serving overseas and in Afghanistan.
