True North Gems Opens Office in Bangkok, Thailand

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 6, 2007) - True North Gems (TSX VENTURE:TGX) is pleased to announce the opening of an office in Bangkok, Thailand. The new office facility will be used to sort and grade rough gems from the Company's Fiskenaesset Ruby Project, located on the southwest coast of Greenland.

The new office facility is located in one of the major centers for the international coloured gemstone industry, and will be able to utilize the highly specialized and experienced skill set available in Bangkok. The local polishing factories in Bangkok have extensive experience with the sorting, grading, evaluation and polishing of ruby and sapphire. The office will be located within a well established and secure facility that will also allow for the implementation of professional control and security protocols during the sorting, grading, and processing of True North's bulk samples.

"With its proximity to the established markets of Europe and the Arab countries, and the new growth areas of China and India, Bangkok is the international market place for purchasers of rough as well as polished gems," noted Nick Houghton, Director and VP Product Development and Marketing. True North Gems is also pleased to announce and welcome Mr. Rock Lee, who has accepted an offer to join the Advisory Board. Mr. Lee has a Masters Degree from the Tongji Medical University in Wuhan, China, and is the founder and Chairman of China Stone Ltd., a company renowned for high precision cutting and polishing of precious stones with factories in Thailand and China. Mr. Lee is a highly respected individual within the coloured stone manufacturing industry and as a supplier to the international jewellery industry.
