MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 20, 2005 -- cyLogistics, a leading provider of high-performance, high-quality telephony hardware and software, is introducing its TrueLine Session Border Controller, a fully managed session border controller (SBC) for Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs). The company will demonstrate the new solution at the Fall VON Conference & Expo being held from September 19 to 22 at the Boston Convention Center.

"Every Internet service provider knows that they must adopt VoIP or perish -- but implementation of these capabilities can be daunting," said Don Witt, president of cyLogistics. "The TrueLine SBC streamlines the process by providing a single point solution that includes all of the necessary hardware and software to support these capabilities at a price point that makes it affordable to even the smaller Internet Telephony Service Providers."

The TrueLine SBC draws on cyLogistic's extensive expertise in telephony and is designed to enable secure and seamless interconnection of carriers' networks with ITSPs and customer enterprises. The TrueLine SBC gives service providers a complete hardware and software solution to simply and efficiently handle connections between IP network borders, including peering borders, access network borders, enterprise borders and data center borders. The solution tightly integrates signaling and media control functions into a single system.

The TrueLine SBC Peer provides 100 percent support of the SIP signaling protocol, and supports IP PBX solutions from major manufacturers, including Cisco and Nortel. In fact, cyLogistics tested the TrueLine SBC on a broad range of major VoIP networks to ensure compatibility. To meet the needs of customers using Level 3's network, the SBC supports NAT and meets Level 3 InterOp, Operational and E-911 requirements. Currently, the device is in service on the network of Level 3, the largest VoIP provider in the world.

Virtual point of policy enforcement, meanwhile, allows users to extend policies to third party platforms and networks. Authorized calls can be connected with any endpoint and applied to either inbound or outbound calls. This function puts SBC policies in control of the breadth of system parameters, including call rate, call capacity and (in an upcoming release) bandwidth usage.

The TrueLine SBC has been designed from the ground up to ease installation for Internet Telephony Service Providers. The controller can be readily installed, with almost no customer interaction, through cyLogistics' systems network operations center (NOC). The SBC units are closely monitored by the NOC to provide peace of mind for both the ITSP and the carrier.

"cyLogistics clearly has its hand on the pulse of the ITSP when it comes to this technology," said Stephen Dolloff, VP Sales at DLS Internet Services, a leading Internet Telephony Service Provider in Chicago. "We've evaluated SBC technology from a number of leading manufacturers, and, until the TrueLine SBC, were unable to find anything that could be readily implemented with our Asterisk-based PBX. Now, we've even been able to add the capability of placing outbound calls to our system."

The TrueLine SBC is available on standard Intel-based hardware as either NEBS or Non-NEBS compliant. The carrier versions of the device can scale for use from 100 to over 100,000 sessions. The TrueLine SBC is priced starting at $12,999 and up on the number of calls in progress required.
