Two Denver Clifton Gunderson Financial Professionals Attain Selective Construction Industry Certification

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - December 16, 2009) - Clifton Gunderson (http://www.cliftoncpa.com), one of the nation's largest certified public accounting and consulting firms, announced that Ronda Palsulich, CPA, and Julie Jondahl, CPA, have earned the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation, a distinction that shows individuals have met the highest standards of construction financial management. There are fewer than 35 CCIFPs in the state of Colorado.

"The CCIFP designation entails a very rigorous exam, and relatively few certified public accountants have attained this designation," said David Laundy, managing partner, Rocky Mountain client service center, Clifton Gunderson. "Clifton Gunderson's Rocky Mountain region now has three professionals with the CCIFP designation, which demonstrates the value and insight we bring to our construction clients."

Palsulich and Jondahl join Lee Johnson, who already has a CCIFP designation.

Clifton Gunderson provides assurance, accounting, tax, and consulting services to construction industry clients ranging from small subcontractors to some of the largest contractors in the industry including general contractors, heavy construction contractors, homebuilders, special trade contractors, and architectural and engineering firms. Palsulich is senior tax manager for the Rocky Mountain client service center at Clifton Gunderson, where she is responsible for the preparation of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. She has extensive experience in dealing with corporations in the services sector. Palsulich serves on the boards of directors for the Denver Better Business Bureau and the South Metro Chamber of Commerce, Women in Leadership Committee. She is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, Colorado.

Jondahl is assurance manager for the Rocky Mountain client service center of Clifton Gunderson. Her professional experience includes audits and attestation services for companies in a variety of industries, including construction, real estate, manufacturing, distribution, retail and health care. She is the past chairman of the board for Grant Avenue Community Center (a non-profit Colorado Historical site) and member of the Accounting Careers Committee of the Colorado Society of CPAs. She is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, Colorado.
