LAVAL, CANADA--(Marketwire - Oct. 1, 2007) - TYPHOON EXPLORATION INC. (the "Company" or "Typhoon") (TSX VENTURE:TOO) undertakes an exploration campaign on its wholly owned Cote-Nord Uranium Property, near Havre-St-Pierre and Baie Johann-Beetz (Quebec). The property is easily accessible, transected by the Provincial Highway #148, and already hosts a showing having an average grade of 0.023% U3O8 over 9 metres (MRNFQ files).

The work initiated includes:

- An airborne geophysical survey, by Geophysics GPR International Inc. (Longueuil, Qc), covering roughly 580 line-kilometres, that will include high resolution Radiometrics (for total radioactive count, uranium, thorium and potassium), Magnetics and Frequency EM,

- A structural and alteration study with satellite imagery was completed by EarthMetrix Inc. (Montreal, Qc); which the results will be combined with the geophysics to better define anomalous sectors in uranium and to guide the detailed prospecting in the field,

- Detailed prospecting with spectral scintillometers, mapping and analysis of samples taken will be done. The samples will be processed and analyzed by ALS-Chemex of Val-d'Or (Qc), using the ME-ICP-41 analytical protocol (for Uranium).

The uranium model being followed for this sector is the Rossing-type (Namibia) that hosts approximately 300 million tonnes grading 0.03% U3O8 (refer to www.rossing.com).

Mr. David Mc Donald, CEO of the Company states "Following the favourable results issued by our neighbour to the East, Uracan Resources Ltd.(TSX VENTURE:URC). Typhoon undertakes an important exploration campaign on its project to determine in the short term the uranium potential".

Mr. Jean Lafleur, P. Geo., no longer acts as director and technical advisor for the company as of September 30th, 2007. Work will continue as planned on all our projects with our different consultants in geology.
