U.S. Soil: Changing the Way We Farm Throughout America

COLUMBIA, MO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 25, 2006 -- Joel Salatin, credited with starting the free-range chicken movement, will be speaking at the 14th National Small Farm Trade Show & Conference, November 4-6 in Columbia, Missouri. Underwritten by U.S. Soil, Joel will be presenting two classes. The first, Pasturing Livestock, details experience with free-range chickens and the importance of open grazing and pasturing. The second, How to Go From a Backyard Operation to a White Collar Salary, focuses on building profitable agricultural operations. In the evening, Mr. Salatin will attend an informal gathering promoting the use of Planters II. Mr. Salatin is an avid user of Planters II Foundation Minerals and believes partnering with U.S. Soil to be a beneficial way to promote the proper use of minerals supporting farmers throughout the world.

Foundation Minerals are essential in building an economical cropping program. U.S. Soil encourages farmers to visit with them and Mr. Salatin to understand the differences between mineral supplements. Not all minerals are bioactive or plant available. However, few companies explain this difference. In order to increase productivity, farmers have to change the way they farm. Proper pasturing, economical marketing and the use of Foundation Minerals are salient for production and profitability.

Working with U.S. Soil, Mr. Salatin promotes change at venues he normally would not be able to reach. To attend the 14th National Small Farm Trade Show & Conference contact Small Farm Today magazine at 800-633-2535.

U.S. Soil would like to invite individuals attending the conference to an informal gathering with Joel Salatin the night of November 3rd. Signups will be conducted at their booth in the exhibition center on a first come first serve basis. Spots will be held for new dealers and distributors.
