Ucore Uranium Inc. Announces Management Appointments


Ucore Uranium Inc. ("Ucore" or the "Company")(TSX VENTURE:UCU) is pleased to announce the restructuring of its senior management team following the successful merger with Landmark Minerals Inc.

Mr. Harmen Keyser has been appointed to the role of Vice President Project Development. He is the former President of TSX-V traded Landmark Minerals Inc., bringing 25 years of geology experience spanning 20 countries and 5 continents.
Mr. Keyser has worked with multiple major and junior companies within the international mining sector, with extensive experience in uranium resource exploration. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Saint Mary's University in 1981, is a member of the Northwest Territories Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists, and is a "Qualified Person" in accordance with National Instrument 43-101.

Ucore welcomes Mr. James Harris to the position of Chief Financial Officer, subject to required approvals. Mr. Harris brings extensive financial operations experience from multiple industries gained in both consulting and delivery roles. He is a former Associate Partner in IBM Global Business Services and Senior Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Harris has developed and executed business strategies in asset intensive industries for over fourteen years. He has delivered and supported the attainment of financial objectives, worked in the areas of financial and management reporting, general accounting, asset management and capital project planning and delivery. He holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from Memorial University, Newfoundland.

Ucore also welcomes Mr. Roger Hulstein to the position of Vice President Exploration. Mr. Hulstein is a geologist with more than 25 years experience in geology and mineral exploration. He has worked Canada-wide and throughout the western U.S. in the exploration for multiple commodities, including uranium, iron, copper, gold, and coal, and has substantial experience in open pit and underground mine development and production. Mr. Hulstein graduated from Saint Mary's University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in geology in 1981 and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, a fellow of the Geological Association of Canada, and is a "Qualified Person" in accordance with National Instrument 43-101.

Ucore has retained Roger Lainé, Ph.D., P. Geo., the former VP Exploration of Landmark Minerals Inc. as a technical advisor to the Company. Dr. Lainé has more than 30 years experience in exploration and mining. He spent 15 years working for Cogema (now Areva) in uranium exploration, development, and mining including an eight year tenure as Vice President, Exploration for a Cogema division.

Mr. Wayne Reid will move from the VP Exploration position and assume a senior advisory role with the Company. Mr. Daniel Whittaker of Halifax has been appointed Chairman of Ucore's Board of Directors and has stepped down from the position of Chief Financial Officer effective September 30, 2007.
