Ungava Minerals Corp.: Sued in Quebec Superior Court by Canadian Royalties Inc.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 5, 2007) - Ungava Minerals Corp. (PINK SHEETS:UGVAF) (the "Company") and its subsidiary Ungava Mineral Exploration Inc. ("UMEI") have been named in a Quebec motion to initiate proceedings filed by Canadian Royalties Inc. ("CRI"), Glen Mullan and Bruce Durham. CRI and the others seek damages for multiplicity of proceedings instituted against them, as well as other relief. CRI is bringing this motion in the Superior Court of Quebec and not in an arbitration proceeding. The Amended Motion to Institute Proceeding will be annexed to the material change report to be filed pursuant to this press release. Company counsel is studying the Amended Motion which will be responded to in due course.
