Unica Strengthens Presence in Asia/Pacific Region

Appoints Tech Leader Sanjay Samuel to Vice President of Asia/Pacific Operations

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - April 21, 2010) -  Unica Corporation (NASDAQ: UNCA), the recognized leader in marketing software solutions, today announced continued momentum and expanded operations in the Asia/Pacific region. Technology veteran Sanjay Samuel was appointed as vice president of Asia/Pacific operations. Samuel, who brings more than 20 years of management and marketing experience within the technology sector, leads Unica sales, delivery, and support within Unica's Asian and Japanese markets.

Samuel most recently served as an executive with Teradata, where he led the Company's operations in Southeast Asia and India. In this leadership position, the Company achieved double-digit growth over a five-year period. He also held executive positions within Teradata Korea, Japan, and Australia.
