United Way of America Selects Omniture to Enhance Audience Engagement

The Nation's Largest Non-Profit Organization Uses Omniture SiteCatalyst to Help "Advance the Common Good" Through Its New LIVE UNITED Web Site

OREM, UT--(Marketwire - November 5, 2008) - Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR), a leading provider of online business optimization software, today announced that United Way of America has selected Omniture SiteCatalyst® Web analytics to accurately measure visitor engagement and activity for its newly launched Web site (http://www.liveunited.org/). As one of the nation's oldest and most respected non-profit organizations -- with nearly 1,300 local United Ways across the country -- United Way of America will use SiteCatalyst to help ensure its Web site effectively communicates the organization's mission and message in order to drive donations, advocacy and volunteer activity.

United Way launched the LIVE UNITED Web site to support the new campaign -- "LIVE UNITED: Give. Advocate. Volunteer." -- and to support its new brand positioning of "Advancing the Common Good." With Omniture, the organization is seeking to increase audience interaction and engagement with the United Way brand and to increase site traffic.

"The better we understand how our brand connects with and engages visitors, the more effective we can be in mobilizing communities to join us in this movement," said Melvin Young, vice president, marketing and brand strategy, United Way of America. "Additionally, as an organization, making sure we are spending each marketing dollar effectively and appropriately is critical. With Omniture, we can prove the performance and effectiveness of our online marketing spend -- allowing us to better maximize our resources."

"Non-profit organizations like United Way rely heavily on their Web sites to not only generate financial support, but to also communicate their causes effectively," said Chris Harrington, president of worldwide sales and client services at Omniture. "Because Omniture measures how visitors react to site content and structure in real time -- these organizations have the ability to make more immediate decisions on how to best attain their charitable goals."
