United Way of Greater Toronto is launching its golden anniversary celebrations and announcing its 2006 fundraising campaign goal in style on May 24 at its annual general meeting (AGM). A larger-than-life visual reveal of the goal announcement will offer a great photo opportunity that links to a 1950s nostalgia theme.

Special guests include keynote speaker The Honourable Mary Anne Chambers, Minister of Children and Youth Services; Mayor David Miller, who will present the Thanks a Million Awards to outstanding companies; Rick Waugh, President and CEO, Scotiabank and 2006 United Way Campaign Chair; and Frances Lankin, President and CEO, United Way of Greater Toronto.
