Universal Communication Systems, Inc. Receives Further $200,000 Cash Subscription/Investment by Entities Related to Company Chairman, Michael J. Zwebner

MIAMI, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 7, 2005 -- Universal Communication Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: UCSY) announced today that its Chairman, Michael J. Zwebner, has arranged for a further cash investment of $200,000 by a number of overseas entities in which he holds an interest.

The subscription, which has been fully paid, will result in an issuance of approximately 9.2 million restricted shares. These shares are issued under SEC, Regulation "S" rules and are subject to the volume limitation restrictions of affiliates.

Michael Zwebner, chairman of the board, stated: "This additional new investment into UCSY is a continuing vote of confidence in the future of the company. We continue to execute our business plan."
