University of California, Irvine Students Experience Cutting Edge Electric Vehicle Technology at T3 Motion

T3 Motion Hosts University of California, Irvine Graduate Students From the Institute of Transportation Studies

COSTA MESA, CA--(Marketwire - March 31, 2010) -  T3 Motion, Inc. (OTCBB: TMMM) (, a leader in cost-effective, clean-technology electric vehicles, recently hosted the director and a group of graduate students from the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS) from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). The visit, led by T3 Motion CEO Ki Nam, included an extensive tour and presentations about the technology involved in creating the company's electric vehicles that are environmentally friendly with zero gas emissions and operate with clean energy at 10 cents per day with the revolutionary Lithium-ion batteries.

The relationship between T3 Motion and the ITS exemplifies the benefits of public-private partnerships that can play a key role in the development and commercialization of new technologies.

"A very important dimension of the overall ITS experience for our participating graduate students is the opportunity to visit companies that have gained success through identifying market trends, creating technology solutions, and developing commercially viable solutions," said ITS Director Dr. Stephen Ritchie. "T3 Motion is a perfect example of that ability to turn a vision into a concrete reality from which our students can gain knowledge to apply toward their own careers."

During the tour, the ITS graduate students learned how the company identified its initial target market segment, designed its flagship T3 Series electric standup vehicle (ESV) with direct input from end users in the marketplace, diversified into its four-wheel electric CT Micro Car, and achieved growth through expansion into additional user market segments as well as internationally. The students also gained insight into specific design and engineering aspects of the T3 Motion vehicles, including the swappable power modules and intelligent power management systems for the T3 Series.

"We are always very pleased to spend time with students pursuing a career in engineering to provide them with a real-world example of how to apply technology innovations in a practical framework," Nam observed. "And we look forward to expanding our relationship with ITS to share insights and resources that can benefit both organizations and open doors for a new generation of engineers."

As part of the tour, the UCI students had the opportunity to drive both the T3 Series ESV and the CT Micro Car. They were able to experience first-hand the intuitive controls and quick maneuverability of the T3 Series along with the quiet, comfortable, smooth ride of the CT Micro Car.

Following the tour, Nam shared a new product, the MotionTrak 300 system that combines a video camera, GPS tracking and sophisticated data management. The system provides a very compact, vehicle-mounted module that can be used to monitor and analyze vehicle behavior and performance in a wide range of circumstances from accidents to routine daily usage.
