V3 Selects Sohoware's AeroExtend Outdoor Wireless to Deploy High Speed Internet Access on the Greens at the Cox Classic

PGA Nationwide Tour Spectators Enjoy Demonstration of Wireless Mobility as Part of Cox Communications "Lighting Up the Greens" at Champions Run

OMAHA, NE -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 25, 2006 -- Sohoware, a pioneer in Wireless LAN technology and an emerging leader in integrated networking, teams up with V3 Technologies, an IT Services Company providing computer and wired and wireless networking solutions, to announce the deployment of public wireless Internet access at the 11th annual Cox Classic at Champions Run in Omaha, NE, a major event of the PGA Nationwide Tour. Cox Communications hosts the event and provides Internet services to demonstrate the real-world benefits of innovative mobile and wireless technology applications to tournament spectators and fans.

Throughout the tournament held on August 3-6, Cox Communications and V3 hosted Wi-Fi hotspots in the viewing boxes on Greens 9, 12, and 17. The team provided wireless (Wi-Fi) Internet access at the tournament and offered Players, attendees and fans with PDA's or other wireless handheld devices access to anywhere, anytime information. Demonstrations of client set up and the benefits of hotspot services were also provided.

V3 relies on Sohoware to provide innovative, business-class networking solutions, including comprehensive outdoor wireless solutions like AeroExtend. The AeroExtend WLG2502 is a dual radio, dual band, 11a/b/g outdoor solution that enabled V3 to quickly extend the reach of one DSL line located at the main club house to multiple greens locations throughout the course. The WLG2502 uses a master / slave configuration and Point to Multi-point (PMP) wireless network with dedicated 5.8GHz backhaul radios. Each slave location then uses the available second radio to create an 11b/g compatible 2.4GHz Wi-Fi hotspot at the associated viewing area of the green. The solution is elegantly simple and robust. Using the dual radio platform reduces the number of devices required to support the deployment, which minimizes installation time, management complexity and visual intrusion.

Says Henry Vargas, President of V3 Technologies, "The AeroExtend system is the right solution for us; reliable, easy to install and configure, and cost effective. But we stick with Sohoware because their team is there when we need them to make sure each deployment is successful."

AeroExtend includes a complete selection of directional and omni-directional antennas to support required 11a and 11b/g RF patterns. Each slave unit includes integrated 5.8GHz panel antennas. The solution is managed through a secure HTTPs web interface.
