VFA Canada Solutions Enable Wilfrid Laurier University to Proactively Maintain Facilities and Infrastructure

University to Reassess Facility Portfolio and Conduct Infrastructure Survey

BURNABY, BC--(Marketwire - August 4, 2008) - Wilfrid Laurier University, one of Canada's most innovative universities, is working with VFA Canada Corporation to reassess the condition of more than 80 buildings across its Waterloo, Kitchener, and Brantford campuses, encompassing more than 2 million square feet. Along with the facility condition assessment, VFA Canada will also survey Laurier's infrastructure including parking areas, roads, sidewalks, bridges, telecommunications system, utility distribution and storage tanks. VFA Canada previously conducted facility condition assessments for Laurier in 2002 and 2004.

Laurier will continue to use VFA.facility® capital planning software as its central database for facility information and as a decision support tool in developing long-term capital plans. With the updated data, Laurier will be able to proactively plan for its maintenance and renewal needs and demonstrate how these investments support the university's long-term goals. Laurier is among more than 18 universities in the Ontario University System using VFA Canada solutions since 2002.
