VICORP Restaurants, Inc. Features Boulder Sausage and Dorset Inn Recipes to Bring More Award-Winning Entrees to Guests

Restaurant Guests Can Now Enjoy Legendary Tastes From Across the Country

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - January 3, 2008) - VICORP Restaurants, Inc., owner of Village Inn and Bakers Square restaurants, has developed two new partnerships with Boulder Sausage and the Dorset Inn to bring guests award-winning recipes closer to home. Beginning in January, Village Inn and Bakers Square are offering Boulder Sausage Skillet dishes, a Boulder Sausage Platter and Boulder Italian Sausage Sandwich featuring all-natural, family sausage recipes dating back four generations to Germany. Also arriving this month are a handful of hearty pot roast recipes from the Dorset Inn in Vermont.

"At Village Inn and Bakers Square, we have traveled the nation in search of the country's most-acclaimed recipes to bring to our guests, like the Boulder Italian Sausage Skillet and the Dorset Inn Sliced Pot Roast," said Ken Keymer, CEO of VICORP Restaurants, Inc. "In November, we introduced recipes that are made with authentic seasonings from the Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Texas and stuffed French toast dishes from the Maples Inn in Maine. Because of the positive guest response, several of these items will remain on the menu in January and February as well."

While other restaurants strive to bring the flavors of certain regions to their customers, Village Inn and Bakers Square have responded to Americans' ever-evolving palates by making upscale dishes more accessible on their menus. VICORP Restaurants plans to introduce additional legendary recipes and restaurants at its Village Inn and Bakers Square restaurants through 2008.

Boulder Sausage Company

The Boulder Sausage Company story began in the fall of 1961, when Don Olk moved to Boulder, Colo., from Sheboygan, Wis. He brought with him a real talent for making sausage and some great recipes that he had acquired from his father who learned the art of making quality sausage in his hometown in Germany. After moving to Colorado, Don started a small meat market/delicatessen, "Don's Cheese and Sausage," featuring his own delicious sausages and other meat and cheese products. In 1985 Don's Cheese and Sausage, under new ownership, decided to branch into selling wholesale sausage to grocery stores under the name "Boulder Sausage Company." Boulder Sausage will partner with Village Inn and Bakers Square on a variety of legendary recipes including the Boulder Sausage Platter, Boulder Italian Sausage Sandwich and the Boulder Italian Sausage Skillet.

The Dorset Inn

The Dorset Inn, Vermont's oldest continuously operating Inn, has been offering lodging, fine dining and traditional New England hospitality for more than 200 years. Completely refurbished in 1985 by current Inn owner and Chef Sissy Hicks, the Dorset Inn is renowned locally and nationally for its gracious, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional cooking. The Dorset Inn has been featured in Gourmet Magazine, Town and Country Magazine, Yankee Magazine, The New York Times, Good Morning America and CNN coverage of Christmas Getaways. Village Inn and Bakers Square will introduce new recipes to guests including the Dorset Inn Sliced Pot Roast and Dorset Inn Knife & Fork Pot Roast Sandwich.
