Vangent, Inc. Names Craig Janus Senior Vice President and General Manager of Government Division

Craig A. Janus Brings Over 25 Years of Executive-Level IT, Consulting, Engineering and Professional Services Experience to Lead Vangent's Government Business

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - January 8, 2008) - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and business process outsourcing solutions, today announced it has named Craig A. Janus as Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Federal government division. Janus has more than 25 years of executive-level experience specializing in information technology, consulting, engineering and professional services. In his new role, Janus will lead the Vangent business unit that serves the civilian, defense, intelligence and national security agencies of the U.S. Federal Government; state and local governments; and higher education institutions.

Vangent's Civilian, Defense and National Security business unit offers a broad portfolio of solutions encompassing the entire value chain, from consulting (Design) to systems integration (Build) to business process outsourcing (Operate). Clients include the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Education, Homeland Security and Labor; Bureau of the Census; Federal Communications Commission; Office of Personnel Management; Defense Information Systems Agency; the University of California system; the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Intelligence community.

Prior to joining Vangent, Janus served as Corporate Vice President for the Center for Information and Telecommunications Technologies at Noblis from 2001 to 2007. Prior to that, Janus was Vice President at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in Falls Church, VA from 1997 to 2001.

Janus served in the U.S. Marine Corps and holds a Master of Science degree in Information & Technology Systems from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Columbia Union College. He holds memberships in many industry and professional organizations including the National Software Strategy Steering Group, National Defense Industry Association and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. Janus is on the faculty of Johns Hopkins University, where he develops curriculum and teaches graduate-level studies in information technology, telecommunications and business at the Carey Business School.
