Vangent, Inc. Names New Senior Vice President and General Manager of Health Solutions

Michael Plymack Brings Over 30 Years of Commercial and Public Sector Experience to Lead Vangent's Fast-Growing Health Business

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - January 8, 2008) - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and business process outsourcing solutions, today announced it has named Michael Plymack its new Senior Vice President and General Manager of Health Solutions. Plymack has more than three decades of commercial and public sector experience with expertise in consulting, systems integration and strategic business process outsourcing. In his new role, Plymack will lead the Vangent business unit that serves the commercial and public sector healthcare market.

Vangent's Health Solutions business unit offers a broad portfolio of solutions encompassing the entire value chain, from consulting (Design) to systems integration (Build) to business process outsourcing (Operate). Clients include the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other offices of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Medicare Part D plan sponsors and healthcare providers and payers. Vangent also recently launched a new member interaction management solution called informis™, the industry's only complete member management solution that combines Vangent's extensive knowledge of CMS' national Medicare program, a unique member service model and performance-based pricing accountability.

Prior to joining Vangent, Plymack was President of the Health and Human Services Systems Division of Maximus, Inc., where he successfully led the company's health systems business in the state and local government markets. Prior to his tenure at Maximus, Plymack enjoyed a 30-year career at IBM Corporation. In his last role at IBM, he was a Vice President and Public Sector Practice Leader at IBM Global Services where he was responsible for business across six practice areas focused on government delivery of services to citizens. Plymack held other senior level roles at IBM including Vice President and Program Executive responsible for IBM's global business with an international electronics manufacturer and Principal and Practice Executive for ERP Integration Services. Plymack holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Cornell University.
