Vantex Acquires a Gold Property

LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - May 24, 2006) - The management of Vantex Resources Ltd (TSX VENTURE:TVX) announces the acquisition, by map designation, of a gold property that includes two blocks of 6 claims each, covering an area of 624 hectares located in the Lac Payne area, Northern Quebec. Vantex owns 100% of this property.

The Amaruk block comes across an iron formation of 1.5 kilometre and between 1 and 5 metres wide within hinge folds. Significant gold values (channel sampling) ranging between 1.34 g/t Au to 16.14 g/t Au were identified along this structure on widths of 0.50 metre to 4.9 metres. The best drilling intersections showed grades of 8.23 g/t Au and 24.36 g/t Au on respectively 3.4 metres and 0.75 metre (GM56553 ). Chosen samples returned grades between 1.85 g/t Au and 17.16 g/t Au. This gold showing remains open in the lateral extensions as well as in-depth.

The Avingaluk block is located South of the Amaruk block and also shows good potential for gold. Chosen samples returned grades ranging from 1.92 g/t Au to 35.42 g/t Au and one channel sample returned 1.8 g/t Au on 7.9 metres. The Avingaluk zone contains an iron formation on more than 4 kilometres with an average width of 2 to 3 metres, with up to 10 metres in the folded zones.

This property fits in the new strategy of the Company which targets the acquisition of good gold showings located in Northern Quebec, outside the beaten path. The Lac Payne area fits well into this strategy. The Company plans to validate, as soon as possible, the gold potential of the area with a prospection and sampling campaign. It will be followed, if necessary, with drilling.

Additional gold showings in the area are also being investigated by the management of the Company.
