Vantex Resources Ltd./Galloway : New Gold Showings

LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 12, 2009) - (TSX VENTURE:VTX) Following an intense prospecting campaign conducted in July on the Ogima-north block of the Galloway project, the direction of the company is very pleased to announce it has identified three new showings containing significant gold grades.

Thus, the seven samples taken at random showed the following grades:

Sample Showing Grade g/t Au

61684 Boreal 1.02
61685 Boreal .876
96669 Jacob 4.864
11721 Jacob 3.700
11722 Jacob 2.38
11723 Jacob .055
96654 Desjardins 7.215

Stripping work will be undertaken around these showings in order to better assess their respective potential.

In addition, twelve composite samples of about 3 kilos each taken at random from the Soaker Hill showing, located about 1 km north of the Galloway-Pitchvein showing, report an average grade of 2.8 g / t Au. The work of stripping and channel sampling are underway on this index. The management of the company plans a drilling program in this area during 2009.

The Galloway Project

Consisting of 3 mining concessions, 52 claims and 35 lots covering a total area of 2,285 hectares, the "Galloway" project is the results of the amalgamation of the Hurd, Ogima Nord, Sandborn, Perron, Cadillac and Francoeur claim blocks.

The geology of the Dasserat area is characterized by the presence of a syenitic intrusion which covers the northern portion of the claim group and extends under Dasserat Lake. This syenitic intrusive complex intruded volcanics of the Balke River Group at the contact with sediments pertaining to the Timiscaming Group. The Bay Renault syenite exhibits gradual contacts with alkaline lapillis tuffs showing angular fragments suggesting a comagmatic origin. Both, the syenite and the tuffs are strongly altered in iron carbonates, sericite and pyrite which render identification somewhat difficult. Stability fields for metallic minerals suggest a zoning centred on the molybdenite field in the southwestern part of the syenite where the best gold anomalies have been identified to date. The presence of molybdenum in the central portion of the syenite may indicate the presence of another gold anomalous area under Bay Renault (RP-2007-03). The syenite intrusion and the Cadillac Break appear to have been the main controls over the alteration and the mineralization in the area.

Exploration work is being carried out under the supervision of consulting geologist and NI43-101 qualified person Daniel Kelly. Mr Kelly has read and approved this press release.
