Ventera to Sponsor Telecom Panel Discussion

MCLEAN, VA--(Marketwire - November 6, 2007) - Ventera Corporation, an IT professional services firm, is partnering with TelecomHUB to present a panel discussion on the upcoming 700 MHz spectrum auction. The spectrum auction, scheduled for January 24th 2008, has the potential to reshape the landscape of the communications industry. It is expected to be the largest spectrum auction ever held, potentially bringing in more than $15 billion dollars.

The 700 MHz spectrum has some significant advantages that make it extremely attractive, and this has heightened interest and debate, and opened up the door to new entrants into the wireless space. Among those considering joining the fray is Google, who has stated that they are ready to spend $4.6 billion, if the company decides to join the bidding.

TelecomHUB's panel discussion will take place on Thursday, November 15th 2007 at The Tower Club. Participating panelists include:

Chris Guttman-McCabe, Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, CTIA. CTIA is the industry association representing all sectors of wireless communications.

Keith Kaczmarek, President, Cyren Call. Cyren Call was recently named as advisor to the Public Safety Spectrum Trust Corporation (PSSTC).

Rick Whitt, Washington Telecom and Media Counsel, Google. Google has the capacity to spend billions of dollars at this auction.

Scott Wiener, Senior Vice President, Partner Development, Frontline Wireless. Frontline is a startup wireless broadband service provider who has proposed a public-private partnership involving both non-profit and profit elements.

Kim Hart, Technology Reporter at the Washington Post will serve as moderator of the panel discussion.
