Veteran Analyst Tim McElgunn Joins Pike & Fischer as Chief Analyst, Broadband Advisory Services

SILVER SPRING, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 5, 2006 -- Veteran market analyst Tim McElgunn has been named Chief Analyst, Broadband Advisory Services (BAS) at Pike & Fischer, a leading publisher of market intelligence on advanced communications services.

McElgunn will play a leading role in expanding Pike & Fischer's portfolio of market research data and developing new information resources and consulting services for BAS customers. He will also contribute news and analysis for Pike & Fischer's online publication "Broadband Daily."

McElgunn has more than 20 years of experience and expertise in market sizing, forecasting, segmentation and share analysis in emerging and legacy segments of the telecommunications industry. For the last seven years, he has headed up U.S. consumer broadband analysis at Stratecast, a division of Frost & Sullivan. In that capacity, he completed a variety of studies and consulting projects on the strategies of U.S. cable companies, telephone companies, satellite TV providers and broadband-enabled application providers such as Google, Yahoo and Microsoft. He also provided insight and advice directly to clients in the telecom space, including every major U.S. telephone company and most global network equipment and software providers.

Prior to his work at Stratecast, McElgunn held senior analyst positions at both Datapro/NBI and Gartner Dataquest.
