View Systems Receives Additional SecureScan Contracts From Eight Maryland Correctional Facilities

BALTIMORE, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 20, 2006 -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VYST), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, announced today that purchase orders for twelve SecureScan units have been received from eight Maryland correctional facilities: The Baltimore City Correctional Center, Patuxent Institution, Central Laundry Facility, Brockbridge Correctional Facility, Jessup Prerelease Unit, Southern Maryland Prerelease Unit, Herman L. Toulson Boot Camp, and Eastern Prerelease Unit.

In addition to the purchase orders announced today, others have been received from: the Maryland House of Corrections in Jessup, Maryland Reception Diagnostic Classification Center, Jessup Correctional Institution, Division of Pretrial Detention, Department of General Services, North Branch Correctional Institution, Western Correctional Institution, Eastern Correctional Institution, Maryland Correctional Institution for Women, Metropolitan Transition Center, Maryland Correctional Adjustment Center, and Hagerstown Correctional Institution.

The SecureScan is fast becoming the choice of concealed weapons detection systems across the country. Especially attractive are the biometric fingerprint scanning and state issued ID reading features which may be integrated with the SecureScan III. The SecureScan's open system architecture allows its data and video to be monitored and controlled remotely. Additionally, the SecureScan communicates with a wanted / outstanding warrant database.

View Systems executive, Charles Nelson, states, "In a recent Baltimore Sun news article dated September 2, 2006, it was reported that the Maryland Department of Corrections would spend $2.1 million on walkthrough metal detectors. I think View Systems will be a recipient of most of those dollars. The SecureScan should post record sales this year."

Gunther Than, CEO of View Systems, states, "To date, View has received purchase orders from approximately 20 Maryland correctional centers. Biometric technology is experiencing explosive growth across the country. The SecureScan's biometric, positive ID system compares fingerprint and drivers license identification. We hope to integrate the biometric and positive ID systems into all SecureScan units installed in the Maryland Correctional System. View's backlog of orders is approaching $500,000."
