View Systems' SecureScan Featured in the Media

BALTIMORE, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 29, 2006 -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VYST), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, announced today that the company and its headline product, the SecureScan Concealed Weapons Detector, were highlighted last week by two different media outlets in two different states.

Investigative Reporter, Steve Levine, of Baltimore's Fox 45 Television filmed a Cover Story called "Bumped from the Line," which aired on August 22, 2006 during the 10:00 Evening News. The piece mentioned that more than 1400 weapons have been confiscated from Maryland State Prisons since January. The focus of the story was the SecureScan Concealed Weapons Detector which has been placed in multiple Maryland Correctional Facilities. Footage of the SecureScan in action was aired, which showed the unit visually locating a utility knife on Mr. Levine, and a cell phone on a View Systems employee. Cell phones are the number one smuggled contraband item in prisons. This video clip is available for viewing online by visiting Fox 45's website at http://www.foxbaltimore.com/newsroom/features/cover_story.shtml and selecting the story, "Bumped from the Line," from the drop down menu.

View Systems was also featured in an article by Rick Hepp entitled "Jails Use High-Tech Screening" in The Star-Ledger, a New Jersey news publication, on August 21, 2006. A photo and description of the SecureScan's capabilities were the central focus of the article. The piece mentions that the detectors were installed in all fourteen New Jersey prisons last year and are "sensitive enough to pinpoint metals commonly found in guns and knives -- even those concealed underneath a protective vest -- while ignoring coins, watches and jewelry." Joseph Rizzo, administrator of the Central Reception and Assignment Facility in Trenton, stated, "We can make sure people cannot bring things in that would be a security risk to the facility." He continued, "...it makes someone who would think about it more reluctant."

Gunther Than, CEO of View Systems, stated, "Media exposure is especially great when it is a feature success story of technology designed and created for the protection of our citizens."
