Virtual Ed Marketing Efforts Begin to Pay Off, These Districts Represent Over 91,000 Users and an Estimated $412,000 in Recurring Revenue

FAIRFIELD, NJ--(Marketwire - February 3, 2010) - Virtual Ed Link, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: VRED) COO Dr. Alan McCartney announced today that Virtual Ed Link is recognizing success in its sales and marketing efforts.

The Virtual Ed Link marketing and sales teams have been working with districts at all phases of the district buying cycles providing information through presentations and live demonstrations. School administrators recognize that teaching and learning cannot occur if students and staff are not safe, or do not feel safe, in their learning environment. They are looking at our Safety and Security Management System (SSMS) as a cost effective way to institutionalize a multi-pronged safety and security solution. Poor communication can make a bad situation much worse; the SSMS provides effective communication that can speed the restoration of equilibrium by keeping their constituents properly trained, prepared and well informed with timely, accurate information.

We are excited to report that our efforts have resulted in approximately forty (40) school districts receiving quotes and working through the process for final approval. These districts represent over 91,000 users and an estimated $412,000 in recurring revenue. Our status with the North Eastern Regional Information Center in New York State and our designation as a sole provider in New Jersey provide districts with a viable option for purchasing based on quotes directly from us.

In addition, these same districts are looking beyond the base service and are also interested in additional purchases relating to our eLearninig, Physical Security and Information services. These add-on services range dramatically in size and scope, with some projects budgeted at $500,000 and more.

The school buying cycle is a multi-phase process that lasts throughout the year with year-to-year cycles that overlap. The key phases to a school's buying schedule are needs assessment; planning and budgeting; presentation and approvals; final review, selection and purchase. The cycle takes from four to six months to complete and each school district sets its own schedule.
