VisionTV Invites Viewers to "Expect More" in 2008

Network's winter schedule continues emphasis on drama, comedies and movies

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 28, 2007) - Canadians should "expect more" from VisionTV in 2008, the multi-faith network announced today, with the unveiling of its winter programming schedule.

The basic cable service will introduce more new drama series, more special programming events and more original factual programming to its lineup in the new year, said Mark Prasuhn, VisionTV's Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Programming.

VisionTV's 2007-2008 programming strategy puts renewed emphasis on high-quality dramas, comedies and feature films that entertain and inspire. The network signaled its strategy in the fall with the introduction of a new brand positioning statement - "Expect More" - that will continue to figure in its advertising throughout the season.

"We are building on this approach in the second half of the season," Mr. Prasuhn explained. "Our winter schedule offers an even richer and more varied program selection - one that should please our loyal audience and encourage new viewers to check out VisionTV."

Highlights include the highly anticipated return of two of the network's most popular hour-long series: the comedy-drama Doc Martin - which just completed a spectacularly successful run on Great Britain's ITV1 - and the Australian drama McLeod's Daughters.

VisionTV also plans to enhance its lineup of South Asian programming on Saturdays with a new schedule that will include Bollywood feature films. The revamped Saturday schedule will have its own distinct brand - Desi Vision - and will be promoted heavily in the South Asian community.

Programming events will continue to form an important part of VisionTV's strategy. The network will start the new year with a week of documentaries and feature films paying tribute to the inspirational leaders of the last century. Other programming stunts will celebrate everything from figure skating to the Oscars.
