Viterra Contributes $100,000 Towards Haiti Rebuilding Efforts

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - April 19, 2010) - Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT) (ASX:VTA) is pleased to announce that it has donated $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross in support of ongoing relief efforts in Haiti. This follows an earlier announcement in January when the Company launched a matching donation program for its employees and farm customers in Western Canada.

"The response to our program has been tremendous and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for their efforts and recognize the Canadian Red Cross for the excellent work they are doing to assist the people of Haiti. Employees across our Company have been engaging in a variety of fundraising activities and making individual contributions to raise funds for rebuilding initiatives in Haiti and our farm customers have also been generously contributing through our Canadian grain origination network. All have demonstrated the heart and spirit of Viterra and the communities where we work and live," said Mayo Schmidt, President and CEO of Viterra.

The donation was made earlier today at a cheque presentation at Viterra's Regina Office.
