VoX Communications Launches Linksys Small Business SIP Phone to Its Wholesale Partners

WHITE PLAINS, NY--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - VoX Communications Corp., Pervasip Corp.'s IP-based communications service provider, announced it has launched further product support for the Linksys line of IP products with the SPA922 & SPA942 business class SIP phones.

VoX's President and CIO, Mark Richards, stated, "We are very pleased to have the SIP phone ready so quickly after developing and releasing support for the Linksys 8-port ATA. We continue to execute on our market strategy that began with rock-solid residential products and support, and now includes products targeting the small business market segment. VoX is fully committed to ensuring that any one of our wholesale customers can purchase an IP device that we have certified on the network, from the Linksys product line at Cisco, and remotely provision it on our network. These phones are high quality and extremely reliable, and are an important addition to our portfolio of products that empower our wholesale partners to serve the small business arena."

"I believe that we are entering the advanced stages of the paradigm shift from the PSTN to IP-based Telephony," continued Richards. "The mass market has still not fully understood the benefits of IP telephony and there is still confusion surrounding the 'VoIP adapter' type products. This Cisco SIP phone looks and acts like the business phone on your desk and can be plugged into a broadband connection anywhere in the world to make calls. The 'Power over Ethernet' version does not even require a separate international power supply. With this SIP phone, someone can now call you in Japan on your New York number for the cost of a local call, and in most instances, the call is free. The compelling reasons for IP Telephony are rapidly becoming clear to millions of people, not just the early adopters."
