Vontu Extends Data Loss Prevention Leadership to Date in 2007

DLP Leader Achieves Significant Milestones in Customer Acquisition, Product Innovation and Company Growth

Vontu continued to demonstrate strong sales execution in 2007 to date, achieving unprecedented sales growth and outperforming all of its closest competitors, including both private and public companies.

The company's financial performance and rapid customer adoption was based on its innovative DLP products that protect and prevent the loss of confidential data wherever it is stored or used. Vontu solutions enable business and government to safeguard personally identifiable information (PII), intellectual property, and other sensitive data.

Costly data breaches now make headlines on a daily basis, creating more and more pressure on corporations to secure sensitive data. An alarming 62 percent of U.S. consumers polled have been notified that their confidential data was lost, according to the 2007 Consumer Survey on Data Security from Vontu and the Ponemon Institute. Customer data protection remains the top priority for IT Security, with 56 percent of CISOs rating it as their primary concern in a recent Merrill Lynch survey of 50 top North American CISOs. The June 2007 survey also found that data loss prevention remains the most promising category of new security technology, increasing its response rate to 48 percent from 36 percent in March.
