WWF Expert Available for Comment on Global Climate Action Day

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 24, 2009) - Today is Global Climate Action Day. Around the world thousands of events will take place to demonstrate to world leaders the necessity to reach a fair, ambitious, and binding climate deal in Copenhagen this December - as well as to show global solidarity that people around the world support action on climate change.

Where: Dr. Stewart will be at Queen's Park in Toronto from 2- 3 p.m.

Why: Canada has a special responsibility to demonstrate climate
leadership as the host of the G20 Conference in June 2010. This
includes developing an effective national climate strategy, and
playing a supportive role in reaching a new global deal in
Copenhagen.
