OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 17, 2010) -

Editors Note: There are two photos associated with this Press Release.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) panda mascot was lounging in a Muskoka chair on Ottawa's Parliament Hill to release WWF-Canada's G8 and G20 policy position paper today.

The panda's appearance was part of the G8/G20 Global Day of Action, an initiative to raise awareness about the urgent need for world leaders to address climate change at the upcoming G8/G20 summits in Ontario later this month.

"It's inspiring to be part of the actions taking place around the world to bring attention to this important issue," said Zoë Caron, WWF-Canada's Climate Policy and Advocacy Specialist. "We hope the G8 and G20 leaders coming to Canada for the summits show leadership on climate change."
