WebTech Wireless and Chameleon Announce UK Launch of Fleet Management System Using Motorola's New M990 In-Vehicle Phone

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 29, 2009) - WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of location-based and fleet telematics services, announces that in partnership with its UK ASP partner, The Chameleon Group (Chameleon®), and working closely with Motorola®, has launched a new Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) solution based on the new Motorola® M990 Smart Rider™ in-vehicle phone, at this year's Service Management Expo, held last week in Birmingham, UK.

The Motorola M990 Smart Rider in-vehicle phone incorporates WebTech Wireless' Personal Locator software to automatically report vehicle location, as well as a wide variety of vehicle status and performance measures, to Chameleon's 'Asset Track' remote vehicle fleet management solution, currently sold throughout the UK and Europe.

The Motorola M990 Smart Rider empowers fleet managers to track their vehicles and communicate with drivers in real-time. It is specifically designed for the demands and rigours of in-cab use with large colour display for clear map and text viewing, and over-sized keys for ease of use. Advanced voice activation provides truly hands-free capability and enabled Bluetooth® allows for call and data transfer with handheld devices. These and other features allow fleet managers to decrease costs and improve productivity through better scheduling and route optimization, safer operation and reduced insurance risk, and enhanced customer service. The M990 Smart Rider is the ideal choice for multiple operator vehicles, as it is driver-configurable, eliminating the need for individual handheld phones.

Charlie Henderson, General Manager of Motorola Companion Products EMEA, said, "Motorola continue to innovate in the in-vehicle environment, and the introduction of the M990 Smart Rider™ with Chameleon's WebTech Wireless powered Asset Track solution offers a truly relevant and cost-effective tool for fleet and vehicle management, along with Bluetooth® technology designed to provide the highest level of hands-free communications."

David Woodcock, National Account Manager at Chameleon, said, "The combination of a professional in-vehicle phone and vehicle locator in one unit is a significant advance in the industry and is predicted to be of particular interest to transport and service companies. This adds yet another reason for our customers to use our WebTech Wireless powered Asset Track system, and combined with our recent airtime arrangements with major UK mobile telephone companies, becomes an extremely cost effective solution."

Harald Fritz, WebTech Wireless' Senior Director ASP Sales and Services, said, "The use of our software in an in-vehicle phone as advanced as Motorola's M990, together with Chameleon's WebTech Wireless powered Asset Track solution, underscores the ability of both companies to work together to develop innovative solutions with other respected providers, such as Motorola. Once again, we're meeting the specific needs of transport and service delivery companies around the world."

This latest development underscores WebTech Wireless' commitment to provide custom made solutions for a variety of organizations that depend on efficient and effective mobile resource management.
